Even Alex Chandra, Partner of IGNOS, Shares Views on Digital Startup Business Models in Kominfo FGD

Even Alex Chandra, Partner of IGNOS Law Alliance, shares his views on the trends and challenges of private sector electronic system business models in Indonesia at an FGD organized by Kominfo and PT. Surveyor Indonesia. He supports the development and innovation of digital business in Indonesia and hopes for better cooperation between the government and industry players.
Jakarta, October 23, 2023 - Even Alex Chandra, Partner of IGNOS Law Alliance, attended the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Private Sector Electronic System Business Model Trends organized by the Directorate of Information Application Governance of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (“Kominfo”) in collaboration with PT Surveyor Indonesia at Mandarin Oriental Jakarta. This FGD aims to discuss the latest trends in business models of Electronic System Providers (“PSE”) in the private sector.
This FGD is part of Kominfo’s efforts to gather various perspectives and experiences from associations and business actors in the digital business sector, especially those engaged in private-sector PSE business models. The purpose of this FGD is to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the current trends in private sector PSE business models that exist in the field, explore in depth the issues and problems related to private sector PSE business models, and collect various solutions ideas to be recommended as material for revising the Ministerial Regulation of Kominfo Number 5 of 2020 concerning Electronic System Providers so that it can accommodate the interests of all parties related to private sector PSE.
Alex, as he is often called, expressed that he fully supports the development of Indonesian private sector PSE. He considers PSE has great potential to improve people’s welfare, create new jobs, and solve various social problems.
“We believe that PSE is a business model that suits the characteristics of Indonesian society that has a culture of sharing and mutual cooperation. PSE can provide opportunities and benefits for various industrial sectors that support the national economy,” said Alex.
“This FGD is a very positive and strategic initiative to support the development of digital business in Indonesia. This FGD has given us, as industry players, the opportunity to share views, experiences, and ideas related to trends, problems, and solutions related to private sector PSE business models. We hope that the results of this FGD can be valuable input for DTAI in preparing regulations that can accommodate the interests of all parties related to private-sector PSE. We also hope that the cooperation between the government and industry players can continue and be improved to encourage growth and innovation in digital business in Indonesia,” he concluded.
